لا تزال المرافق العامة خصوصاً الحدائق الصغيرة والملاعب الموجودة في المخططات السكنية تتعرض إلى عبث غير مبرر من قبل المراهقين وصغار السن، ممن يرتادون هذه الأماكن نظراً لقربها من منازلهم.وعلى الرغم من حرص الأمانات والبلديات على توفير أماكن لأهالي الحي في كافة مناطق المملكة ومحافظاتها، لكي يمارس فيها البعض هواياتهم أو قضاء أوقات، إلا إن بعض المرافق تتعرض إلى عبث وإتلاف يعطل الهدف من إقامة المرفق.ولفت خالد الزهراني وغيث الهذلي وفهد سليم في حديث لـ«عكاظ» إلى أن من ضمن الحلول التي تحد من هذه الظاهرة هي تركيب كاميرات مراقبة في كافة المرافق، وتنبيه رواد المرفق بوجود الكاميرات. مشيرين إلى أن مثل هذا الإجراء قد يحدّ كثيراً من العبث ويلزم مرتادي المرفق بالمحافظة على مكوناته وموجوداته، ويتعين رفع الوعي المجتمعي لدى سكان الحي من خلال أئمة المساجد والمدارس ومركز الحي، وبث رسائل توعوية مستمرة تبين أهمية المحافظة على المرافق والممتلكات العامة، مطالبين برفع الوعي والتنبيه إلى أهمية المحافظة على المرافق العامة كونها تخدم الجميع. Public facilities, especially small parks and playgrounds located in residential plans, continue to be subjected to unjustified vandalism by teenagers and young children who frequent these places due to their proximity to their homes.Despite the efforts of municipalities and local authorities to provide spaces for neighborhood residents in all regions and governorates of the Kingdom, where some can engage in their hobbies or spend time, some facilities are still subjected to vandalism and damage that undermines the purpose of establishing the facility.Khalid Al-Zahrani, Ghaith Al-Hudaili, and Fahd Saleem mentioned in an interview with "Okaz" that one of the solutions to curb this phenomenon is to install surveillance cameras in all facilities and to inform visitors of the presence of these cameras. They pointed out that such a measure could significantly reduce vandalism and compel visitors to maintain the components and contents of the facility. It is essential to raise community awareness among neighborhood residents through mosque imams, schools, and community centers, and to disseminate continuous awareness messages that highlight the importance of preserving public facilities and properties, calling for increased awareness and emphasis on the importance of maintaining public facilities as they serve everyone.
