استغرب سكان محافظة بلقرن والعابرون على طريق العلاية - بيشة من بقاء جسر وادي المجمعة بمركز عفراء والجزء المكمل له من الجهتين، بطول يقدر بـ800 متر، دون ازدواجية، إذ بقي هذا الجزء طريقاً مفرداً ضيقاً بين ازدواجيتين يهدد السلامة، ويشكل تشوهاً بصرياً.ويرى سعد القرني، عبر «عكاظ»، أن هذا الجزء الصغير (800 متر) يقع بين نهاية الطريق المزدوج الذي نفذته وزارة النقل بين بيشة وبلقرن وانتهى عند منطقة الإسكان في مركز عفراء، وبين نهاية الشارع الرئيسي القادم من سبت العلاية، مروراً بمركز عفراء ضمن نطاق خدمات البلدية، وبقي الجزء الواصل بين الطريقين مفرداً، وحسب المعلومات المتوافرة، فإن سبب بقائه بهذه الحالة يعود لامتناع كل جهة عن عمل ازدواجيته بحجة عدم وقوعه ضمن نطاقها. ويطالب القرني بتدخل عاجل من المجلس المحلي والمسؤولين في البلديات.من جانبه، طالب سعيد الخثعمي، الذي يستخدم الطريق بشكل دائم، المسؤولين بتحمل مسؤولياتهم في هذا الجانب، وقال إنه يجب على الجهة المعنية سواء النقل أو البلديات سرعة تنفيذ الازدواجية في هذا الجزء القصير من الطريق، والذي يمثل واجهة لمحافظة بلقرن من الجهة الشمالية الشرقية. وأضاف، أن بقاءه مفرداً باتجاهين متقاربين يهدد بالحوادث المرورية. The connecting section between the two roads remains single, and according to available information, the reason for its continued state is due to each party's refusal to carry out its dualization, claiming it does not fall within its jurisdiction. Al-Qarni calls for urgent intervention from the local council and officials in the municipalities.For his part, Said Al-Khathami, who uses the road regularly, urged officials to take responsibility in this regard. He stated that the concerned party, whether it be transport or municipalities, should expedite the dualization of this short section of the road, which represents the facade of Balqarn Governorate from the northeastern side. He added that its remaining single with two closely approaching directions poses a threat of traffic accidents.
