في حين تستعد الحوية بشمال الطائف لتشهد تغيراً تبتعد فيه عن العشوائية وتعالج التشوه البصري في بعض المباني والشوارع، وتحسن من المشهد الحضري من خلال إعادة وترميم الجوانب الجمالية للمشهد الحضري والاهتمام برفع مستوى جودة الحياة، للمحافظة على البيئة والمرافق العامة، إلا أنها ما زالت تعيش في عشوائية؛ من خلال تزايد الحواجز الخرسانية والحديدية، ما زاد من التشوه البصري، وجعل بعض ساكنيه يتمنون من الجهات ذات العلاقة أن تتحرك وتزيح تلك التشوهات، وتُلبس منطقتهم الثوب الجميل، وقد تحدث في هذا الخصوص لـ«عكاظ» عبدالعزيز القثامي قائلاً: الحوية في الآونة الأخيرة أصبحت مكتظة بالسكان، وتشهد اتساعاً في الرقعة السكانية، وامتداداً لأحيائها السكنية باتجاه الشمال لكن دون ترابط، فالشوارع تحتاج إلى تنظيم وتخطيط، مستغرباً عدم تحرك الجهات ذات العلاقة لمعالجة ذلك، وإذا تحركت تحركت معها الحواجز الخرسانية والحديدية وهذا ليس حلاً، «نريد تخطيطاً ونريد أن نرى شمال الطائف في ثوبه الجديد».ومن جانبه، قال أحمد القثامي أحد السكان: جميع من زار الحوية قبل خمس سنوات وزارها في الوقت الحالي أجمعوا أنها تغيرت بشكل كامل من ناحية اتساعها إلا أن التنظيمات الداخلية كما هي لم تتغير.وأضاف قائلاً: شوارع الحوية لم تتغير، وعلى سبيل المثال وسطها «شارع الستين» كما هو، ومن جهة الشرق شارع الرياض القديم كما هو، ومن جهة الشمال شارع مثملة والواصلية كما هو، وطريق الرويدف وطريق جليل كما هو، ومن جهة الغرب طريق الواسط وريحة ورحاب كما هو، والعديد من الشوارع الأخرى كما هي لم تتغير.ويقول عبدالعزيز السفياني، الجميع وبالذات المترددين على المنطقة والذين نلتقي بهم بين الحين والآخر جميعهم يجمعون على أن شمال الطائف ومنذ سنوات لم يتغير، وأنه في حاجة إلى مواكبة التحسينات التي تشهدها المحافظة وبالذات في التنظيمات والإرشادات للسلامة المرورية. We want planning, and we want to see northern Taif in its new attire."On his part, Ahmed Al-Qathami, one of the residents, said: "Everyone who visited Al-Hawiya five years ago and visits it now agrees that it has completely changed in terms of its expansion, but the internal organization remains the same." He added: "The streets of Al-Hawiya have not changed. For example, the center, 'Sixty Street,' remains the same. On the eastern side, the old Riyadh Street is as it is. On the northern side, both Mathmala and Al-Wasiliah streets remain unchanged. The roads to Al-Ruwaidif and Jaleel are the same, and on the western side, Al-Wasat, Rihah, and Rahab roads remain unchanged, along with many other streets that have not changed."Abdulaziz Al-Sufyani says: "Everyone, especially those who frequent the area and whom we meet from time to time, all agree that northern Taif has not changed for years and needs to keep pace with the improvements being witnessed in the governorate, especially in terms of organization and traffic safety guidelines."
