تحولت محاولة عبور حدودية لعدد من السوريين إلى حادثة إنسانية مروعة، بعدما لقي أفراد من مجموعة لاجئة حتفهم غرقًا أثناء توجههم من الأراضي اللبنانية نحو سوريا، في ظروف جوية بالغة الخطورة. وأفادت قناة الإخبارية السورية اليوم (الأحد) بأن مجموعة مؤلفة من 11 سوريًا غرقت أثناء عبورها منطقة حدودية، بعد أن أُجبرت على سلوك مجرى نهر يشهد فيضانات شديدة نتيجة الأحوال الجوية العاصفة. وبحسب القناة، فإن الجيش اللبناني وجّه أفراد المجموعة نحو المجرى المائي الحدودي، في توقيت كانت فيه المياه في أعلى منسوبها، ما أدى إلى وقوع الحادثة خلال دقائق، وسط عجز المجموعة عن مقاومة التيار القوي. وأوضحت أن فرق الدفاع المدني نجحت في إنقاذ رجل وسيدتين، فيما لا تزال عمليات البحث مستمرة عن المفقودين، وهم رجل مسن وسيدتان وخمسة أطفال، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الجهات المعنية على الجانب السوري. وأعادت الحادثة إلى الواجهة المخاطر المتزايدة التي تواجه المدنيين على المعابر غير النظامية، في ظل الفيضانات والظروف المناخية القاسية، وسط مطالبات بتأمين ممرات آمنة ومنع تكرار مثل هذه المآسي الإنسانية. An attempt by several Syrians to cross the border turned into a horrific humanitarian incident, after members of a refugee group drowned while heading from Lebanese territory towards Syria, in extremely dangerous weather conditions. The Syrian News Channel reported today (Sunday) that a group of 11 Syrians drowned while crossing a border area, after being forced to navigate a riverbed experiencing severe flooding due to stormy weather. According to the channel, the Lebanese army directed the group members towards the border waterway at a time when the water levels were at their highest, leading to the incident occurring within minutes, as the group was unable to resist the strong current. It was clarified that civil defense teams succeeded in rescuing one man and two women, while search operations are still ongoing for the missing, which include an elderly man, two women, and five children, in coordination with the relevant authorities on the Syrian side. The incident has brought to the forefront the increasing dangers faced by civilians at irregular crossings, amid flooding and harsh weather conditions, with calls for securing safe passages and preventing the recurrence of such humanitarian tragedies.
