أكدت مصر وسلطنة عُمان دعمهما الكامل للحوار اليمني – اليمني الجاري في الرياض، بهدف التوصل إلى تسوية توافقية لقضية الجنوب، تمهيداً لحل سياسي شامل ومستدام يحفظ لليمن سيادته ووحدته واستقراره، ويستجيب لتطلعات شعبه في الأمن والتنمية.
تشاور إقليمي
جاء ذلك خلال استقبال وزير الخارجية المصري الدكتور بدر عبدالعاطي، نظيره العُماني بدر بن حمد بن حمود البوسعيدي، في إطار التنسيق المستمر وتبادل الرؤى إزاء القضايا الإقليمية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
السودان أولوية إنسانية
وتناول الجانبان تطورات الأوضاع في السودان، مؤكدين أهمية دعم المؤسسات الوطنية ووقف الاقتتال والتصعيد، وحماية المدنيين، وتسهيل تدفق المساعدات الإنسانية عبر الوكالات الأممية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، مع دعم المساعي الرامية إلى حل سياسي توافقي يحفظ حقوق الشعب السوداني وسيادته واستقراره.
تطابق الرؤى السياسية
وأكد الوزيران تطابق الرؤى وتكامل الجهود المصرية - العُمانية لتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي، عبر التمسك بقواعد القانون الدولي، والاحتكام للحلول السلمية، ولمّ الشمل بين الأطراف المختلفة بما يخدم المصالح العليا للدول ويحمي أمنها الوطني.
فلسطين في الصدارة
وجدد الجانبان موقفهما الثابت الداعم لحق الشعب الفلسطيني في الحرية وتقرير المصير، وإقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود الرابع من يونيو 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، مع التأكيد على ضرورة رفع الحصار عن قطاع غزة، وضمان دخول المساعدات الإنسانية، وتهيئة الأوضاع لإعادة الإعمار.
تعاون ثنائي متنامٍ
كما استعرض الوزيران علاقات التعاون الثنائي وبرامج العمل المشتركة في مختلف المجالات، وسبل تعزيز الشراكة الاقتصادية والاستثمارية بما يحقق المصالح المتبادلة ويدعم مسارات التنمية في البلدين.
Egypt and Oman have confirmed their full support for the ongoing Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue in Riyadh, aimed at reaching a consensual settlement for the southern issue, paving the way for a comprehensive and sustainable political solution that preserves Yemen's sovereignty, unity, and stability, and responds to the aspirations of its people for security and development.
Regional Consultation
This came during the reception of the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Dr. Badr Abdel Atti, by his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, as part of ongoing coordination and exchange of views regarding regional issues of common interest.
Sudan a Humanitarian Priority
The two sides discussed the developments in Sudan, emphasizing the importance of supporting national institutions, halting fighting and escalation, protecting civilians, and facilitating the flow of humanitarian aid through UN agencies and civil society organizations, while supporting efforts aimed at a consensual political solution that preserves the rights of the Sudanese people, their sovereignty, and stability.
Alignment of Political Visions
The two ministers affirmed the alignment of visions and the complementarity of Egyptian-Omani efforts to enhance regional security and stability, through adherence to the principles of international law, resorting to peaceful solutions, and uniting the various parties in a manner that serves the higher interests of the states and protects their national security.
Palestine at the Forefront
The two sides reiterated their firm position supporting the Palestinian people's right to freedom and self-determination, and the establishment of their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, while emphasizing the necessity of lifting the blockade on the Gaza Strip, ensuring the entry of humanitarian aid, and creating conditions for reconstruction.
Growing Bilateral Cooperation
The two ministers also reviewed the relations of bilateral cooperation and joint work programs in various fields, and ways to enhance economic and investment partnership to achieve mutual interests and support development paths in both countries.
