تستعد هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة لإطلاق النسخة الثالثة من مهرجان الكُتّاب والقُرّاء خلال الفترة من 9 إلى 15 يناير 2026، في الطائف، وتحديداً في متنزه الردّف، على مدى سبعة أيام، تحت شعار «حضورك مكسب»، في حدث ثقافي يجمع بين الأدب والمعرفة والتجربة الترفيهية الموجّهة لمختلف فئات المجتمع.

ويأتي اختيار محافظة الطائف لاستضافة المهرجان تأكيداً لمكانتها الثقافية المتجذّرة، بما تمتلكه من إرث أدبي راسخ وحراك ثقافي متنامٍ، أسهما في ترسيخ حضورها على الخريطة الثقافية محلياً ودولياً، وجعلاها بيئة حاضنة للفعاليات الإبداعية والمعرفية. كما تُعد الطائف أول مدينة سعودية تنضم إلى شبكة اليونسكو للمدن المبدعة في مجال الأدب، وهو ما يعزز من رمزية استضافتها لهذا الحدث الثقافي البارز.

وتواصل هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة من خلال المهرجان جهودها في تنمية القطاع الثقافي، في ظل الحراك المتسارع الذي تشهده المملكة، عبر تسليط الضوء على الدور الأدبي والمعرفي، والاحتفاء بمشاركة نخبة من الأدباء والمبدعين المحليين والعالميين. ويقدّم المهرجان برنامجاً ثرياً ومتنوّعاً يجمع بين الأدب والترفيه، ويشمل أمسيات شعرية، وحفلات غنائية، وفنوناً أدائية، ومعارض فنية، إلى جانب عروض وتجارب تفاعلية تتيح للزائر خوض تجربة معرفية وترفيهية متكاملة، وتعزز من تفاعل الجمهور مع الفعل الثقافي.

ويفتح مهرجان الكُتّاب والقُرّاء أبوابه يومياً من الرابعة مساءً وحتى الـ12 منتصف الليل، ليمنح الزوار فرصة الاستمتاع بباقة واسعة من الفعاليات الثقافية والأدبية، وقضاء أوقات تجمع بين المتعة والمعرفة في أجواء تفاعلية نابضة بالحياة، تعكس المكانة الثقافية لمحافظة الطائف، وتُرسّخ المهرجان بوصفه منصة ثقافية بارزة تسهم في تعزيز حضور الثقافة في المشهد المجتمعي السعودي.

The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Authority is preparing to launch the third edition of the Writers and Readers Festival from January 9 to 15, 2026, in Taif, specifically at Al-Rudaf Park, over the course of seven days, under the slogan "Your Presence is an Asset," in a cultural event that combines literature, knowledge, and entertainment experiences aimed at various segments of society.

The choice of Taif Governorate to host the festival reaffirms its deeply rooted cultural significance, with its solid literary heritage and growing cultural movement contributing to its established presence on the cultural map both locally and internationally, making it a nurturing environment for creative and intellectual events. Taif is also the first Saudi city to join the UNESCO Creative Cities of Literature network, which enhances the symbolism of hosting this prominent cultural event.

The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Authority continues its efforts to develop the cultural sector through the festival, amidst the rapid movement taking place in the Kingdom, by highlighting the literary and intellectual role and celebrating the participation of a select group of local and international writers and creatives. The festival offers a rich and diverse program that combines literature and entertainment, including poetry evenings, musical concerts, performing arts, and art exhibitions, along with interactive shows and experiences that allow visitors to engage in a comprehensive knowledge and entertainment experience, enhancing public interaction with cultural activities.
