أعرب رئيس نادي برشلونة الإسباني خوان لابورتا، عن سعادته بوجوده في المملكة العربية السعودية، وقال في تصاريح إعلامية: «لقد أثبتت السعودية وجودها من خلال استضافة العديد من الأحداث الرياضية العالمية، وتحديداً بطولة السوبر الإسباني، فهي تمتلك العديد من المنشآت الرياضية والبنى التحتية الرائعة، وهو ما قاله لي أهل الاختصاص بالفريق، وأقصد المدربين واللاعبين، لقد وجدنا ملاعب تدريب على أعلى طراز وكذلك أرضيات الملاعب هنا رائعة ومناسبة للغاية، كل شيء يتعلق بالتنظيم كان رائعاً ومتميزاً».

وأضاف لابورتا: «نحن راضون تماماً وسعداء بوجودنا هنا، لأن من المهم للغاية عندما يسافر فريق لخوض مباراة أو البقاء عدة أيام أو لعب أكثر من مباراة، فإنه يجب أن تكون المرافق على مستوى عالٍ، وهذا ما وجدناه بالفعل على أرض الواقع، لذا شكراً للمنظمين كافة في المملكة على كل ما يقدمونه لنا، نحن ممتنون جداً لهم».

وتحدث رئيس نادي برشلونة، عن استضافة المملكة نهائيات كأس العالم 2034، وقال:«أتنبأ بنجاح كبير للمملكة، وأتوقع حضوراً جماهيرياً كبيراً، لأن هذا البلد رائع وآمن للغاية، ولديه منشآت كروية مميزة، صحيح أن الثقافة مختلفة، لكن التنوع الثقافي دائماً ما يصنع تجربة ثرية، وكأس عالم في هذه الأجواء سيسجل تجربة استثنائية».

وعن الجماهير السعودية وحبها لكرة القدم، قال لابورتا: «الجماهير هنا شغوفة جداً بكرة القدم، وفريقنا يمتلك قاعدة جماهيرية كبيرة في هذه الدولة، ورأينا ذلك واضحاً في مباراة نصف النهائي، ورأيناه أيضاً في نسخ سابقة من كأس السوبر، واسمحوا لي أن أشكر جماهيرنا هنا في السعودية على دعمهم الكبير للفريق وترحيبهم بنا وباللاعبين، ونتمنى أن نسعدهم اليوم بتحقيق لقب السوبر الإسباني».

وعن النهائي المرتقب، اختتم رئيس برشلونة حديثه قائلاً: «هي مباراة صعبة وأمام منافس قوي، لكن نتمنى أن ننجح في الفوز وتحقيق البطولة وإسعاد جماهيرنا في السعودية وحول العالم».

Concerning the upcoming final, the Barcelona president concluded his remarks by saying: "It is a tough match against a strong opponent, but we hope to succeed in winning and achieving the championship to make our fans happy in Saudi Arabia and around the world."
