بعث خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، برقية عزاء ومواساة، لرئيس قبرص نيكوس كريستودوليدس، في وفاة الرئيس الأسبق جورج فاسيليو. وقال الملك في برقيته: «تلقينا نبأ وفاة رئيس جمهورية قبرص الأسبق السيد جورج فاسيليو، ونعرب لفخامتكم ولأسرة الفقيد ولشعبكم الصديق عن أحر التعازي، وأصدق المواساة، متمنين ألا تروا أي سوء أو مكروه». كما بعث ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، برقية عزاء ومواساة، لرئيس قبرص نيكوس كريستودوليدس، في وفاة الرئيس الأسبق جورج فاسيليو. وقال سمو ولي العهد: «تلقيت نبأ وفاة رئيس جمهورية قبرص الأسبق السيد جورج فاسيليو، وأعرب لفخامتكم ولأسرة الفقيد كافة عن بالغ التعازي، وصادق المواساة، متمنيًا لكم دوام الصحة والسلامة، وألا تروا أي سوء». The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sent a telegram of condolence and sympathy to the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, on the passing of former President George Vasiliou.
