لم تكن مياه الملاحات في بحيرة مريوط مجرد امتداد هادئ غرب الإسكندرية، بل تحولت إلى شاهد صادم على واحدة من أبشع الجرائم الأسرية التي صدمت الشارع المصري، بعدما عثر الأهالي على جثث 4 أطفال ملقاة في المياه في ظروف غامضة. وقاد البلاغ الذي تلقاه قسم شرطة كرموز إلى انتشار أمني واسع على الطريق الدولي الساحلي، حيث جرى تطويق الموقع ونقل الجثث إلى مشرحة كوم الدكة تحت إشراف النيابة العامة، وسط حالة ذهول بين السكان. وسرعان ما كشفت التحقيقات أن الضحايا 4 أشقاء، تتراوح أعمارهم بين 8 و17 عاماً، وأن الجاني لم يكن غريباً عنهم، بل والدهم نفسه.
وبحسب اعترافات المتهم، أقدم الأب على شنق أبنائه واحداً تلو الآخر داخل مسكنه قبل نحو عشرة أيام، ثم تخلص من جثثهم بإلقائها في مياه الملاحات، في محاولة يائسة لإخفاء جريمته.
الأخطر في فصول القضية أن اعترافات الأب لم تتوقف عند هذا الحد، إذ أقرّ بارتكاب جريمة أقدم قبل عام، تمثلت في قتل زوجته بمحافظة المنيا وإلقاء جثتها في نهر النيل بدافع الشك، قبل أن يفرّ بين المحافظات متنقلاً من دمياط إلى الإسكندرية، حيث قرر إنهاء حياة أبنائه بالطريقة ذاتها.
وقررت النيابة العامة حبس المتهم على ذمة التحقيق، مع انتداب الطب الشرعي لتشريح الجثث وبيان الأسباب الدقيقة للوفاة، إلى جانب تكليف فرق البحث الجنائي بإجراء تحريات موسعة لكشف جميع ملابسات الحادثة وخلفياتها النفسية والاجتماعية.
وأعادت الجريمة إلى الواجهة أسئلة صادمة حول العنف الأسري، والجرائم الصامتة التي قد تُرتكب خلف الأبواب المغلقة قبل أن تكشفها الصدفة.

The waters of the salt pans in Lake Mariout were not just a calm extension west of Alexandria; they turned into a shocking witness to one of the most heinous family crimes that stunned the Egyptian public, after residents discovered the bodies of four children floating in the water under mysterious circumstances. The report received by the Karmouz police station led to a widespread security presence on the coastal international road, where the site was cordoned off and the bodies were transferred to the Kom El-Dikka morgue under the supervision of the public prosecution, amidst a state of shock among the residents. Investigations quickly revealed that the victims were four siblings, aged between 8 and 17 years, and that the perpetrator was not a stranger to them, but their own father.
According to the suspect's confessions, the father had hanged his children one by one inside their home about ten days ago, then disposed of their bodies by throwing them into the salt pans in a desperate attempt to hide his crime.
The most alarming aspect of the case is that the father's confessions did not stop there; he admitted to committing a prior crime a year ago, which involved killing his wife in Minya Governorate and throwing her body into the Nile River out of jealousy, before fleeing between governorates, moving from Damietta to Alexandria, where he decided to end his children's lives in the same manner.
The public prosecution decided to detain the suspect pending investigation, while appointing forensic medicine to autopsy the bodies and determine the exact causes of death, in addition to assigning criminal investigation teams to conduct extensive inquiries to uncover all the circumstances of the incident and its psychological and social backgrounds.
The crime has brought back shocking questions about domestic violence and the silent crimes that may be committed behind closed doors before being revealed by coincidence.
