يؤكد الطرابلسي أن الزواج لم يؤثر على مستواه، بل كان عنصر استقرار. وتقول زوجته إنه متواضع، خجول، شديد الالتزام، يقسو على نفسه ويغفر لغيره، وترافقه في أدق تفاصيل المباريات، من التغذية إلى الدعم النفسي. تقول زوجة الطرابلسي: تزوجت منه وأنا لا أعرف عنه شيئاً بالنسبة للكرة، ولكنني عرفت سلوكه وأخلاقه فلم أتردد، خجول غير مغرور متواضع إلى أبعد الحدود لدرجة أنه يخجل أن يكلفني بشيء إلا وساعدني فيه. يتمتع بقلب طيب، وهناك من يظن أنه متكبر؛ لأنه لا يحب الكلام الكثير. وقته للعمل وتلاوة القرآن الكريم، وهو رب أسرة نموذجي يتعامل معي بما تعلمه من الدين والقرآن الكريم، وأي إنسان يضع دينه مبدأ ويتبعه ويحترمه يكون نادر الخطأ. لا تعجبني فيه قسوته على نفسه بعد كل مباراة، يغفر لغيره ولا يغفر لذاته، شدني للكرة فصرت أستعد معه لكل مباراة. أقدم له وجباته الخفيفة مع كل مباراة وتدريب، وتحتوي على خضار مسلوقة لحوم خفيفة دون دسم إلى جانب الفواكه والسلطة. لا يحب السهر، ويبتسم في إحرج المواقف، يقتنع بوجهات نظر غيره، متجاوب.
القيم والمبادئ وسر التوفيق
يرى الطرابلسي أن القرآن هو سر التوفيق، ويدعو الرياضيين إلى تخصيص وقت للعبادة، معتبراً أن الالتزام والأخلاق وبر الوالدين هي مفاتيح النجاح الحقيقي.

Any person who places their religion as a principle and follows and respects it is rarely wrong. I do not like his harshness towards himself after every match; he forgives others but not himself. He drew me to football, so I started preparing with him for every match. I prepare his snacks for every match and training, which include boiled vegetables, light meats without fat, alongside fruits and salad. He does not like to stay up late and smiles in awkward situations, is open to others' viewpoints, and is responsive.

Al-Trablsi believes that the Quran is the secret to success and calls on athletes to dedicate time for worship, considering that commitment, ethics, and kindness to parents are the keys to true success.
