أطلق برنامج التنمية الريفية الزراعية المستدامة «ريف السعودية»، مشروعاً جديداً لدعم النحالين السعوديين عبر توفير أدوات ومعدات نحالة حديثة، بهدف إحداث نقلة نوعية في قطاع تربية النحل، ورفع كفاءة الإنتاج وجودة العسل، وتعزيز تبنّي التقنيات الحديثة بما ينسجم مع رؤية السعودية 2030. وأوضح المتحدث باسم البرنامج ماجد البريكان، أن المشروع يركّز على تعزيز الاستدامة من خلال الاستخدام الأمثل للموارد وتقليل الفاقد في الخلايا والمنتجات الثانوية، إضافة إلى تكامله مع مشاريع تربية ملكات النحل وإنتاج الطرود التي تنفذها وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة؛ بهدف تحسين الصفات الوراثية للنحل المحلي ورفع كفاءة التربية والإنتاج. وأشار البريكان إلى أن الأدوات الحديثة ستساعد النحالين على التعامل بكفاءة مع الملكات المحسّنة والطرود المحلية، وتحقيق معدلات أعلى في نجاح الإحلال واستقرار الخلايا، إلى جانب تعزيز الممارسات الفنية بين المحطات والمناحل الميدانية. كما يسهم المشروع في رفع جودة العسل وإنتاجيته، عبر تحسين إدارة الخلايا وعمليات التغذية والفحص والجني، وتقليل الإجهاد على النحل، مما يعزز تنافسية العسل السعودي في الأسواق. ويشمل المشروع توزيع 1,800 طرد من أدوات النحالة على النحالين في مختلف مناطق المملكة. The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program "Riyadh Saudi Arabia" has launched a new project to support Saudi beekeepers by providing modern beekeeping tools and equipment, aiming to bring about a qualitative shift in the beekeeping sector, enhance production efficiency and honey quality, and promote the adoption of modern technologies in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The program's spokesperson, Majid Al-Buraikan, explained that the project focuses on enhancing sustainability through the optimal use of resources and reducing waste in hives and by-products, in addition to its integration with projects for breeding queen bees and producing bee packages implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture; with the aim of improving the genetic traits of local bees and increasing breeding and production efficiency. Al-Buraikan noted that the modern tools will help beekeepers efficiently manage improved queens and local packages, achieving higher success rates in replacement and hive stability, as well as enhancing technical practices among stations and field apiaries. The project also contributes to improving the quality and productivity of honey by enhancing hive management, feeding, inspection, and harvesting processes, and reducing stress on bees, thereby boosting the competitiveness of Saudi honey in the markets. The project includes the distribution of 1,800 packages of beekeeping tools to beekeepers in various regions of the Kingdom.
