فيما بدا أنه «الإنذار الأخير»، جدد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب تهديداته لإيران، مؤكدا أن «سفنًا ضخمة وقوية» في طريقها إلى هذا البلد الشرق أوسطي.
التوصل إلى اتفاق مقبول
ومن على متن طائرة الرئاسة، سأل أحد الصحفيين ترمب عن آخر المستجدات بشأن موقفه الحالي من إيران. فأجاب: «لا أستطيع الجزم بذلك، لكن كما تعلمون، لدينا سفن ضخمة وقوية متجهة إلى هناك. لا أستطيع تحديد موقفي بدقة، لكنني آمل في التوصل إلى اتفاق مقبول».
وأضاف: «إذا أمكن التوصل إلى اتفاق تفاوضي مُرضٍ يخلو من الأسلحة النووية، فعليهم فعل ذلك. لا أعلم إن كانوا سيفعلون، لكنهم يتحدثون إلينا، ويتحدثون إلينا بجدية».
أبراهام لينكولن و3 مدمرات
وكشفت صحيفة «التلغراف» صورة تعزيزات عسكرية أمريكية في الشرق الأوسط، تجعل من واشنطن جاهزة لتنفيذ ضربات عسكرية ضد طهران إذا تقرر ذلك على المستوى السياسي، إذ دخلت حاملة الطائرات«يو إس إس أبراهام لينكولن» المنطقة، ترافقها 3 مدمرات صواريخ من طراز آرلي بيرك. وذكرت في تقرير أنه عادة تعمل معها غواصة هجوم نووية قريبة ومتخفية تحت الأمواج وتشكل هذه المجموعة واحدة من أقوى أدوات الردع الأمريكية دون الحاجة إلى قواعد برية قريبة.
وحسب الصحيفة، تضم مجموعة الحاملة أسرابا من طائرات F-35 الشبحية القادرة على اختراق أنظمة الدفاع الجوي المتقدمة، ومقاتلات إف إيه 18 F/A-18 سوبر هورنت، وطائرات إي إيه-18جي EA-18G غراولر المتخصصة في الحرب الإلكترونية.
منصات إطلاق صواريخ
وترافق أبراهام لينكولن في مهمتها المدمرات الثلاث يو إس إس فرنك إي بيترسن جونيور، يو إس إس مايكل مورفي، ويو إس إس سبروانس حاملة سلسلة من منصات إطلاق الصواريخ إلى المنطقة، التي يمكن استخدامها لشن ضربات بعيدة المدى بصواريخ توماهوك الهجومية البرية.
ودفعت واشنطن بمنظومات «باتريوت وثاد» للدفاع الجوي إلى المنطقة، بهدف حماية قواعدها وقواتها وحلفائها من أي هجمات صاروخية محتملة.
50 ألف جندي أمريكي
ورصدت وكالة «أسوشييتد برس» تحركات لعشرات الطائرات العسكرية الأمريكية نحو المنطقة، وسط توقعات بأن وصول حاملة الطائرات رفع عدد القوات الأمريكية إلى نحو 50 ألفا، ما يجعل المرحلة القادمة مفتوحة على كل الاحتمالات، من التصعيد العسكري إلى فرض تسوية بالقوة.
ونشرت «ديلي ميل» صورة للمواقع النووية والقواعد العسكرية ومحطات النفط التي قد تستهدفها أمريكا، وصورا للأسطول الأمريكي، الذي أعلن أنه سيتم نقل ما يصل إلى 12 طائرة مقاتلة إضافية من طراز إف-15إي سترايك إيغل، من قاعدة السرب المقاتل الاستكشافي 494 في ليكنهيث بالمملكة المتحدة إلى قاعدة في المنطقة.
وطائرات إف-15إي، صممت لمهام التوغل العميق وحمل ذخائر موجهة بدقة وقنابل خارقة للتحصينات. كما سيتم استخدام طائرات كي سي-135 ستراتوتانكر للتزود بالوقود جواً.
وتتمركز طائرة الاستطلاع والمراقبة والاستخبارات المشتركة RC-135 ريفيت في قاعدة جوية ثانية، وهي تتعقب الرادارات الإيرانية، وتُجهز مجموعات الأهداف.

From aboard Air Force One, a journalist asked Trump about the latest developments regarding his current stance on Iran. He replied, "I can't say for sure, but as you know, we have massive and powerful ships heading there. I can't pinpoint my position exactly, but I hope to reach an acceptable agreement."
He added, "If a satisfactory negotiated agreement free of nuclear weapons can be reached, they should do it. I don't know if they will, but they are talking to us, and they are talking to us seriously."
USS Abraham Lincoln and 3 Destroyers
The "Telegraph" newspaper revealed images of U.S. military reinforcements in the Middle East, making Washington ready to carry out military strikes against Tehran if decided at the political level, as the aircraft carrier "USS Abraham Lincoln" has entered the region, accompanied by 3 Arleigh Burke-class missile destroyers. The report mentioned that it usually operates with a nearby and stealthy nuclear attack submarine lurking beneath the waves, and this group forms one of the strongest American deterrent tools without the need for nearby ground bases.
According to the newspaper, the carrier group includes squadrons of F-35 stealth aircraft capable of penetrating advanced air defense systems, F/A-18 Super Hornet fighters, and EA-18G Growler aircraft specialized in electronic warfare.
Missile Launch Platforms
Accompanying the Abraham Lincoln on its mission are the three destroyers USS Frank E. Peterson Jr., USS Michael Murphy, and USS Spruance, carrying a series of missile launch platforms to the region, which can be used to launch long-range strikes with Tomahawk land-attack missiles.
Washington has deployed "Patriot and THAAD" air defense systems to the region, aiming to protect its bases, forces, and allies from any potential missile attacks.
50,000 American Soldiers
The Associated Press reported movements of dozens of U.S. military aircraft towards the region, amid expectations that the arrival of the aircraft carrier has raised the number of American forces to about 50,000, making the next phase open to all possibilities, from military escalation to imposing a settlement by force.
The "Daily Mail" published images of nuclear sites, military bases, and oil facilities that America might target, along with images of the American fleet, which announced that up to 12 additional F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets will be transferred from the 494th Fighter Squadron at Lakenheath in the United Kingdom to a base in the region.
The F-15E aircraft are designed for deep penetration missions and carrying precision-guided munitions and bunker-busting bombs. KC-135 Stratotankers will also be used for aerial refueling.
The RC-135 Rivet Joint reconnaissance, surveillance, and intelligence aircraft is stationed at a second airbase, tracking Iranian radars and preparing target sets.
