دعت المحكمة العليا عموم المسلمين في جميع أنحاء المملكة إلى تحرّي رؤية هلال شهر رمضان مساء يوم الثلاثاء 29 / 8 / 1447هـ -حسب تقويم أم القرى- الموافق 17 / 2 / 2026م. جاء ذلك في إعلان للمحكمة العليا، فيما يلي نصه: الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على نبينا محمد، وعلى آله وصحبهِ أجمعين، وبعد: فنظراً لما تضمنه قرار المحكمة العليا رقم (203 / هـ) وتاريخ 29 / 7 / 1447هـ أن يوم الثلاثاء 1 / 8 / 1447هـ -حسب تقويم أم القرى- الموافق 20 / 1 / 2026م، هو غرة شهر شعبان لعام 1447هـ؛ فإن المحكمة العليا ترغب إلى عموم المسلمين في جميع أنحاء المملكة تحرّي رؤية هلال شهر رمضان المبارك مساء يوم الثلاثاء 29 / 8 / 1447هـ -حسب تقويم أم القرى- الموافق 17 / 2 / 2026م. وترجو المحكمة العليا ممّن يراه بالعين المجرَّدة، أو بواسطة المناظير؛ إبلاغ أقرب محكمة إليه وتسجيل شهادته إليها، أو الاتصال بأقرب مركزٍ؛ لمساعدته في الوصول إلى أقرب محكمة. وتأمل المحكمة العليا ممّن لديه القدرة على الترائي الاهتمام بهذا الأمر، والانضمام إلى اللجان المشكّلة في المناطق لهذا الغرض، واحتساب الأجر والثواب بالمشاركة؛ لما فيه من التعاون على البرّ والتقوى، والنفع لعموم المسلمين. والله الموفق، وصلى الله وسلم على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وأصحابه أجمعين. The Supreme Court has called upon all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to observe the sighting of the crescent moon for the month of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday, 29/8/1447 AH - according to the Umm al-Qura calendar - corresponding to 17/2/2026 AD. This was stated in an announcement by the Supreme Court, the text of which is as follows: All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions, and thereafter: In light of what was included in the Supreme Court's decision No. (203/H) dated 29/7/1447 AH that Tuesday, 1/8/1447 AH - according to the Umm al-Qura calendar - corresponding to 20/1/2026 AD, is the first day of the month of Sha'ban for the year 1447 AH; the Supreme Court wishes to inform all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to observe the sighting of the crescent moon for the blessed month of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday, 29/8/1447 AH - according to the Umm al-Qura calendar - corresponding to 17/2/2026 AD. The Supreme Court requests those who see it with the naked eye, or through telescopes, to inform the nearest court and register their testimony there, or to contact the nearest center to assist them in reaching the nearest court. The Supreme Court hopes that those who are able to observe the crescent will pay attention to this matter and join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose, seeking reward and virtue through participation; as it involves cooperation in righteousness and piety, and benefits all Muslims. And Allah is the Grantor of success, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and all his companions.
