أكد الملاكم البريطاني أنتوني جوشوا جاهزيته الكاملة لخوض نزاله المرتقب، مشيراً إلى أن فترة الإعداد كانت شاقة على المستويين البدني والذهني، وأنه اعتمد على التدريبات المكثفة إلى جانب التركيز الذهني للحفاظ على أفضل جاهزية ممكنة. وقال جوشوا في تصريح لـ«عكاظ»: «كان المعسكر صعباً للغاية، وواصلنا دفع أجسادنا إلى أقصى الحدود، فالجسد قادر على تحقيق أشياء مذهلة عندما تستمر في تحديه». وأضاف أن الاستعداد الذهني لا يقل أهمية عن الجانب البدني، موضحاً أنه حرص على الصلاة، والنوم الجيد، والاسترخاء، والمحافظة على الطاقة الإيجابية طوال فترة الإعداد. وأعرب جوشوا عن سعادته بالعودة إلى جدة، مؤكداً أن هذه المدينة تحمل له الكثير من الذكريات، وأن شغفه بالملاكمة ورغبته الدائمة في الفوز يمثلان أكبر حافز له داخل الحلبة. كما تطرق إلى انفعاله بعد أحد نزالاته السابقة، موضحاً أن ما حدث كان بدافع الشغف وحب المنافسة، وقال: «تصرفت بدافع الشغف، لكنني عدت الآن لأقدم أفضل ما لدي، وبإذن الله أحقق الفوز، وأظهر بالصورة التي ينتظرها الجمهور». The British boxer Anthony Joshua confirmed his full readiness for the upcoming match, noting that the preparation period was tough on both physical and mental levels, and that he relied on intensive training alongside mental focus to maintain the best possible readiness. Joshua expressed his happiness at returning to Jeddah, confirming that this city holds many memories for him, and that his passion for boxing and his constant desire to win represent his biggest motivation inside the ring. He also touched on his emotions after one of his previous matches, explaining that what happened was driven by passion and love for competition, saying: "I acted out of passion, but now I am back to give my best, and God willing, I will achieve victory and show the image that the audience expects."
