أعلنت السلطات الماليزية، اليوم، أن فرق الإنقاذ انتشلت جثث 7 مهاجرين من ميانمار، وتمكنت من إنقاذ 13 آخرين، إثر انقلاب قارب كان يقل عشرات الأشخاص قرب سواحل شمالي البلاد. وأوضحت الهيئة البحرية الماليزية، أن القارب أبحر استنادا إلى تحقيقات أولية من بلدة بوثيداونج في ولاية راخين بميانمار، وعلى متنه نحو 300 شخص. من جانبها، أوضحت الشرطة الماليزية، أن الركاب يعتقد بأنه قد تم تقسيمهم على ثلاثة قوارب أصغر عند اقترابهم من السواحل الماليزية، مشيرة إلى أن أحد هذه القوارب غرق قرب جزيرة تاروتاو جنوبي تايلند يوم الخميس الماضي، فيما انجرف بعض الضحايا إلى جزيرة لانكاوي السياحية في شمال ماليزيا. The Malaysian authorities announced today that rescue teams have recovered the bodies of 7 migrants from Myanmar and managed to save 13 others after a boat capsized while carrying dozens of people near the northern coast of the country. The Malaysian Maritime Agency clarified that the boat set sail, according to preliminary investigations, from the town of Puthidaung in Rakhine State, Myanmar, with about 300 people on board. For its part, the Malaysian police stated that the passengers are believed to have been divided among three smaller boats as they approached the Malaysian shores, noting that one of these boats sank near Tarutao Island in southern Thailand last Thursday, while some of the victims drifted to the tourist island of Langkawi in northern Malaysia.
