The famous comedic actress Catherine O'Hara, who left an indelible mark on cinema and television, passed away at the age of 71 after a brief battle with illness at her home in Los Angeles, according to a statement from her agent to the BBC.
O'Hara was known for her numerous artistic contributions, from her early comedic performances with the Second City troupe in Toronto and the SCTV program to her iconic roles in Hollywood. She made a strong impression in the film Beetlejuice (1988), where she portrayed the character Delia Deetz, leading her guests in a stunning musical performance of the song Day-O, one of the film's most clever and famous scenes.
