في حادثة مأساوية هزت ولاية كانو شمال نيجيريا، لقي ما لا يقل عن 30 شخصاً مصرعهم جراء حادثة مرورية، وفقاً لما أعلنته السلطات المحلية.
وأفاد متحدث باسم حكومة الولاية أن الحادثة وقعت نتيجة تصادم شاحنة نصف مقطورة بمركبة أخرى بسبب القيادة المتهورة، ما أدى إلى سقوط عدد كبير من الضحايا وإصابة آخرين بجروح بالغة.
من جانبه، أعرب حاكم ولاية كانو، الحاج أبا يوسف، عن بالغ حزنه وتعاطفه الصادق مع أسر الضحايا، مؤكداً أن الحادثة تمثل فاجعة مؤلمة وخسارة كبيرة للولاية. كما وجّه وزارة الصحة بضمان تقديم الرعاية الطبية المجانية والعاجلة لجميع المصابين دون أي تأخير.
In a tragic incident that shook Kano State in northern Nigeria, at least 30 people lost their lives due to a traffic accident, according to local authorities.
A spokesperson for the state government reported that the incident occurred as a result of a collision between a semi-trailer truck and another vehicle due to reckless driving, leading to a large number of casualties and others sustaining serious injuries.
For his part, the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, expressed his deep sorrow and sincere sympathy for the families of the victims, affirming that the incident represents a painful tragedy and a significant loss for the state. He also directed the Ministry of Health to ensure the provision of free and immediate medical care for all the injured without any delay.
