عثرت السلطات في هونغ كونغ على مواطن مصري يبلغ من العمر 43 عاماً متوفى داخل غرفة بأحد الفنادق في منطقة تسيم شا تسوي، فيما أوقفت رجلاً هندياً يبلغ من العمر 39 عاماً للاشتباه في ارتكابه جرائم تتعلق بحيازة المخدرات وأدوات تعاطيها.
وبحسب موقع The Standard، أفادت الشرطة بأنها تلقت بلاغاً من إدارة الفندق الواقع في 20 شارع ناثان قرابة الساعة 5:45 مساء الأحد، يفيد بالعثور على أحد النزلاء فاقداً للوعي داخل غرفته.
وعند وصول عناصر الشرطة، عثروا على الرجل ممدداً داخل الغرفة، كما ضبطوا كمية صغيرة يُشتبه بأنها من مخدر الهيروين، إلى جانب أداة يُشتبه في استخدامها لتعاطي المخدرات.
ونُقل الرجل إلى مستشفى الملكة إليزابيث، حيث أُعلن عن وفاته لاحقاً، فيما أكدت السلطات أن سبب الوفاة لم يُحدد بعد، بانتظار نتائج تشريح الجثة.
وبعد استكمال التحريات، ألقت الشرطة القبض على رجل هندي يحمل وثيقة إقامة مؤقتة، وذلك في شارع ناثان قرابة الساعة 10 مساءً، للاشتباه في حيازة مواد مخدرة خطرة وحيازة أدوات لتعاطي المخدرات، ولا يزال قيد الاحتجاز لاستكمال التحقيقات.
وأوضحت الشرطة أنها صادرت من الغرفة 0.42 غرام من مادة يُشتبه بأنها الهيروين، مؤكدة أن التحقيقات لا تزال جارية لكشف ملابسات الواقعة وتحديد سبب الوفاة.

According to The Standard, the police reported that they received a call from the hotel management located at 20 Nathan Road around 5:45 PM on Sunday, indicating that one of the guests was found unconscious in his room.
Upon the arrival of the police, they found the man lying inside the room, and they seized a small amount suspected to be heroin, along with an item believed to be used for drug consumption.
The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, while authorities confirmed that the cause of death has not yet been determined, pending the results of an autopsy.
After completing the investigations, the police arrested an Indian man holding a temporary residency document on Nathan Road around 10 PM, on suspicion of possessing dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia, and he remains in custody for further investigation.
The police clarified that they seized 0.42 grams of a substance suspected to be heroin from the room, confirming that investigations are still ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the incident and determine the cause of death.
