تحولت حملة تبرعات ضخمة أُطلقت لمساعدة المتضررين من زلزال تركيا إلى قضية مثيرة للجدل، بعدما فتحت السلطات تحقيقاً في مصير الأموال التي جُمعت، لتتوسع دائرة الاستدعاءات وتشمل أسماء بارزة من الوسط الفني والإعلامي.
استدعت النيابة التركية عدداً من المشاهير للإدلاء بإفاداتهم ضمن التحقيقات المتعلقة بقضية التبرعات المرتبطة بجمعية «أحباب» الخيرية، التي أسسها المغني هالوك ليفينت المتهم في القضية المتعلقة بإدارة أموال التبرعات.
وشملت قائمة المستدعين المغني محسون كرمزي أوغلو، والممثلة إلتشين سانغو، المعروفة بدورها في مسلسل «حب للإيجار»، إلى جانب المغنية والممثلة غولبن إرغين، ومغني الروك هايكو جيبكين، والصحفي أوغور دوندار.
ويأتي استدعاء هذه الشخصيات بهدف الاستماع إلى أقوالهم حول القضية التي شهدت توقيف عدد من الأشخاص، من بينهم مؤسس الجمعية هالوك ليفينت، الذي يقبع في السجن منذ نحو أسبوعين على خلفية التحقيقات.
وأثارت القضية جدلاً واسعاً في تركيا، بعدما أعلن عدد من الفنانين والإعلاميين الذين دعموا حملة التبرعات السابقة تراجعهم عن مساندتهم لليفينت، مؤكدين أنهم تعرضوا للتضليل بشأن طريقة إدارة الأموال.
وتعود بداية القضية إلى أعقاب الزلزال المدمر الذي ضرب جنوب تركيا عام 2023، وأسفر عن مقتل أكثر من 55 ألف شخص، إذ تمكن ليفينت من جمع تبرعات مالية كبيرة بلغت نحو 158 مليون دولار بهدف بناء مساكن للمتضررين الذين فقدوا منازلهم.
لكن مع تأخر تنفيذ بعض مشاريع الإسكان، بدأت تساؤلات حول مصير الأموال، قبل أن تفتح النيابة العامة في إسطنبول تحقيقاً شمل اتهامات تتعلق بمخالفات في إدارة الجمعية، من بينها انتهاك قوانين الجمعيات وغسل الأموال وتحويل أموال التبرعات إلى حسابات شخصية واستخدامها في أنشطة غير مشروعة.
ونفى ليفينت جميع الاتهامات الموجهة إليه، مؤكداً أن الجمعية خضعت لعمليات تدقيق عدة مرات، إلا أنه واجه انتقادات متزايدة من بعض المتضررين الذين قالوا إنهم لم يحصلوا على المساكن التي وُعدوا بها.
وفي قضية منفصلة، أدانت محكمة تركية ليفينت بإصدار شيكات دون رصيد بقيمة 70 مليون ليرة تركية، وفرضت عليه غرامة مالية مماثلة تقريباً، كما قررت منعه من إصدار الشيكات وفتح حسابات مصرفية.
وأعلن ليفينت لاحقاً نيته الاستقالة من إدارة الجمعية والتفرغ لمسيرته الفنية، في وقت تستمر التحقيقات وسط تصاعد الجدل حول القضية.
وكانت شعبية ليفينت الواسعة ودعم عدد من المشاهير لحملته قد ساعدا في جمع نحو 158 مليون دولار لصالح متضرري زلزال 2023، وهو النشاط الذي دفع مجلة «تايم» إلى اختياره ضمن قائمتها لأكثر 100 شخصية تأثيراً في 2023.

The list of those summoned includes singer Mahsun Kırmızıgül, actress Elçin Sangu, known for her role in the series "Love for Rent," along with singer and actress Gulben Ergen, rock musician Hayko Cepkin, and journalist Oğuz Dundar.
The summons of these figures aims to hear their statements regarding the case, which has seen the detention of several individuals, including the founder of the charity, Haluk Levent, who has been in prison for about two weeks amid the investigations.
The case has sparked widespread controversy in Turkey, after several artists and media figures who supported the previous fundraising campaign retracted their support for Levent, confirming that they were misled about how the funds were managed.
The origins of the case date back to the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck southern Turkey in 2023, which resulted in the deaths of more than 55,000 people. Levent managed to raise significant financial donations amounting to about $158 million to build housing for the victims who lost their homes.
However, with delays in the implementation of some housing projects, questions began to arise about the fate of the funds, before the Istanbul public prosecutor's office opened an investigation that included accusations related to violations in the management of the charity, including violations of association laws, money laundering, and transferring donation funds to personal accounts and using them for illegal activities.
Levent denied all the accusations against him, asserting that the charity had undergone audits several times, yet he faced increasing criticism from some victims who said they had not received the housing they were promised.
In a separate case, a Turkish court convicted Levent of issuing checks without sufficient funds amounting to 70 million Turkish lira and imposed a similar financial penalty on him, as well as deciding to prohibit him from issuing checks and opening bank accounts.
Levent later announced his intention to resign from managing the charity and focus on his artistic career, as investigations continue amid escalating controversy surrounding the case.
Levent's widespread popularity and the support of several celebrities for his campaign helped raise about $158 million for the victims of the 2023 earthquake, an effort that led "Time" magazine to include him in its list of the 100 most influential people in 2023.
