افتتح أتيليه جدة للفنون الجميلة مساء الأحد الماضي معرض الفنان التشكيلي حسين دقاس بعنوان «صدى الألوان» بحضور الفنان الكبير ضياء عزيز ضياء ونخبة من الفنانين والنقاد والمهتمين بالفن التشكيلي. ويعد هذا المعرض الخامس في مسيرة دقاس الفنية ضمن مشروعه المستمر «الألوان وهندسة الحياة» الذي يسعى من خلاله إلى استكشاف العلاقة بين اللون والروح واستحضار تأثيره في وجدان الإنسان وحياته.

في فضاء المعرض تتنفس اللوحات ببطء وكأنها حالات وجدانية تتبدل بتبدل الضوء. تهمس تدرجات الرمادي والأبيض بالسكينة بينما تشتعل البقع البرتقالية كلحظة دفء مفاجئة في برد المساحات في حين تتناثر الأخضر والبنفسجي بتوازن روحي يشي بالصفاء. اللون هنا ليس عنصرا زخرفيا بل كائن حي ينطق بلغة المشاعر يروي ما عجزت الكلمات عن قوله ويمنح المتلقي دهشة الاكتشاف الأولى.

يؤمن دقاس بأن للألوان كيانين؛ جلي تراه الأبصار وخفي تدركه البصائر وفي الخفي ما هو أعمق وأجمل من الجلي وهي فلسفة تتجلى في لوحاته التي تمزج بين التجريد والرمز وبين الواقع والتأمل في رحلة تعبيرية تستدعي البصر والبصيرة معا.

يضم المعرض أكثر من 20 عملا فنيا تتنوع بين الإيقاع اللوني الهادئ والانفجار التعبيري، مقدما رؤية إنسانية للألوان كأداة شفاء وبهجة ودهشة في امتداد لمسيرته الفنية التي تسعى دوما إلى تحقيق التوازن بين الحس الجمالي والعمق النفسي.

حسين عمر دقاس الزهراني من مواليد السعودية وأحد الأسماء البارزة في الساحة التشكيلية المعاصرة. بدأ مسيرته الفنية منذ 1989 وشارك في معظم المعارض المقامة بمدينة جدة إلى جانب مشاركات عربية ودولية في القاهرة وبلجيكا وكندا وعمان والكويت كما مثل المملكة في ملتقيات فنية بعدة دول أوروبية.

أقام دقاس خمسة معارض شخصية بدأها بـ«حنين الذكريات» عام 2015، مروراً بـ«جذور» و«مجرد ظل» و«مرافئ» وصولا إلى معرضه الحالي «صدى الألوان». حصل على عدد من الجوائز أبرزها جائزة مسابقة روح القيادة التشكيلية وجائزة أفضل موهبة في مسابقة عبدالمحسن القحطاني وجائزة الطائف للفن التشكيلي.

اقتنيت أعماله من قبل الديوان الملكي ومكتب ولي العهد «مسك» ومؤسسات حكومية وأهلية وشخصيات مرموقة. ويستمر معرض «صدى الألوان» حتى 12 نوفمبر 2025.

The Jeddah Atelier of Fine Arts opened last Sunday evening the exhibition of the visual artist Hussein Daqas titled "Echo of Colors," in the presence of the great artist Diaa Aziz Diaa and a select group of artists, critics, and art enthusiasts. This exhibition is the fifth in Daqas's artistic journey as part of his ongoing project "Colors and the Engineering of Life," through which he seeks to explore the relationship between color and the soul and to evoke its impact on human emotions and life.

In the space of the exhibition, the paintings breathe slowly as if they are emotional states that change with the shifting light. The shades of gray and white whisper tranquility while the orange spots ignite like a sudden warmth in the coldness of the spaces, while green and purple scatter with a spiritual balance that hints at clarity. Here, color is not a decorative element but a living entity that speaks the language of emotions, narrating what words fail to express and granting the viewer the wonder of initial discovery.

Daqas believes that colors have two existences; the apparent that is seen by the eyes and the hidden that is perceived by the insight, and within the hidden lies something deeper and more beautiful than the apparent. This philosophy is reflected in his paintings, which blend abstraction and symbolism with reality and contemplation in an expressive journey that calls for both sight and insight.

The exhibition includes more than 20 artworks that vary between calm color rhythms and expressive explosions, presenting a humanistic vision of colors as tools for healing, joy, and wonder, extending his artistic journey that always seeks to achieve a balance between aesthetic sensitivity and psychological depth.

Hussein Omar Daqas Al-Zahrani is a Saudi-born artist and one of the prominent names in the contemporary art scene. He began his artistic career in 1989 and has participated in most exhibitions held in Jeddah, alongside Arab and international participations in Cairo, Belgium, Canada, Oman, and Kuwait, as well as representing the Kingdom in artistic forums in several European countries.

Daqas has held five solo exhibitions, starting with "Nostalgia of Memories" in 2015, followed by "Roots," "Just a Shadow," "Ports," and culminating in his current exhibition "Echo of Colors." He has received several awards, most notably the award for the Spirit of Artistic Leadership and the Best Talent award in the Abdul Mohsen Al-Qahtani competition, as well as the Taif Award for Fine Arts.

His works have been acquired by the royal court, the Crown Prince's office "Misk," government and private institutions, and prominent figures. The "Echo of Colors" exhibition will continue until November 12, 2025.
