اختتمت هيئة الأدب والنشر، فعاليات ملتقى الترجمة الدولي في حفل ختامي، أقيم في مدينة الرياض، بعد ثلاثة أيام حافلة بالجلسات الحوارية وورش العمل التفاعلية التي جذبت عددًا كبيرًا من الزوار المهتمين والمتخصصين في مجال الترجمة من المملكة وخارجها.
وأوضح الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة الأدب الدكتور عبداللطيف الواصل، في كلمته، أن شعار الملتقى «من السعودية.. نترجم المستقبل»، يعكس التحول العميق في مفهوم الترجمة في المملكة، إذ لم تعد مجرد نشاط لغوي، وإنما مشروع وطني يسهم في بناء جسور التواصل الإنساني وصناعة التأثير الثقافي، وأن المملكة تترجم لتفهم وتُفهِم، لتكون طرفًا فاعلًا في حركة المعرفة العالمية، تصدر الأفكار كما تستقبلها، وتشارك في صياغة الحوار الثقافي القائم على الاحترام المتبادل والتطلعات المشتركة بين الشعوب.
وتضمن حفل الختام عرضًا فنيًا متعدد اللغات يمزج بين العربية والإنجليزية والفرنسية، في أداء يجسّد روح التعدد الثقافي الذي يجمع بين الفنون واللغة كجسر للتواصل الإنساني والتقارب بين الشعوب.
وشهد الملتقى مشاركة أكثر من 70 خبيرًا محليًا ودوليًا في 15 جلسة حوارية و17 ورشة عمل متخصصة، استعرضوا خلالها أحدث الاتجاهات الفكرية والتقنيات الحديثة في قطاع الترجمة، وناقشوا التحديات التي تواجه العاملين في هذا المجال، وسبل تطوير الممارسات المهنية في ضوء التحولات التقنية والثقافية العالمية، فيما ناقشت الجلسات الحوارية الاعتماد المهني في الترجمة، وتأهيل المترجمين لمواجهة الأزمات الميدانية، ومستقبل الاستثمار في الخدمات اللغوية. وقال الواصل، إن ملتقى الترجمة الدولي 2025 يجسد أحد ملامح التفاعل الثقافي الذي تنشده رؤية المملكة 2030، موضحًا، أن الترجمة أصبحت جزءًا من البنية التحتية للمعرفة، وصناعةً ترفد الاقتصاد الوطني وتثري الذائقة الإنسانية، وتعزز من حضور المملكة الدولي.
The Literature and Publishing Authority concluded the activities of the International Translation Forum with a closing ceremony held in Riyadh, after three days filled with panel discussions and interactive workshops that attracted a large number of visitors interested in and specialized in the field of translation from within the Kingdom and abroad.
The CEO of the Authority, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasel, stated in his speech that the forum's slogan "From Saudi Arabia... We Translate the Future" reflects the profound transformation in the concept of translation in the Kingdom, as it has become not just a linguistic activity but a national project that contributes to building bridges of human communication and creating cultural impact. He emphasized that the Kingdom translates to understand and to be understood, aiming to be an active participant in the global knowledge movement, exporting ideas as well as receiving them, and engaging in shaping cultural dialogue based on mutual respect and shared aspirations among peoples.
The closing ceremony featured a multilingual artistic performance that blended Arabic, English, and French, in a presentation that embodies the spirit of cultural diversity that unites arts and language as a bridge for human communication and rapprochement among nations.
The forum witnessed the participation of more than 70 local and international experts in 15 panel discussions and 17 specialized workshops, during which they showcased the latest intellectual trends and modern technologies in the translation sector, discussed the challenges facing professionals in this field, and explored ways to develop professional practices in light of global technological and cultural transformations. The panel discussions addressed professional accreditation in translation, the qualification of translators to face field crises, and the future of investment in language services. Al-Wasel stated that the International Translation Forum 2025 embodies one of the features of the cultural interaction sought by the Kingdom's Vision 2030, clarifying that translation has become part of the knowledge infrastructure, a sector that enriches the national economy and enhances human taste, while strengthening the Kingdom's international presence.
