بصدور صحيفة «أم القرى» (1934)؛ تشكلت اللبنة الأولى للإعلام السعودي المنظم كحاجة وطنية برؤية واضحة واستثمار في الإنسان، ليصبح مع التطور المستمر قوة سعودية ناعمة مؤثرة يخاطب العالم بثقة ومهنية، بسواعد رجال أسسوا وبنوا وطوَّروا، فقادوا مراحل إعلامية مختلفة من التطوير تتماشى مع متطلبات المرحلة ورؤية الدولة، ليجعلوا من الإعلام السعودي رسالة وطنية لا مجرد مهنة.

وبرؤية سعودية أن الإعلام هو الاستثمار الحقيقي، أسست لمسارٍ متواصل من المنتديات والمؤتمرات الصانعة لمستقبله، ويأتي «المنتدى السعودي للإعلام» برعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين؛ ليؤكد دور قيادتنا في بناء الإنسان وصقل مهاراته الإعلامية، ودعم الحضور السعودي عالمياً، إذ شكَّل المنتدى منصة تجمع صنَّاع الإعلام وأصحاب التخصصات الأخرى من دول العالم لقراءة المستقبل وتقنياته وفرصه، خصوصاً أن الإعلام أصبح لغة مشتركة، وأداة مؤثرة مهنياً وتواصلاً فعَّالاً.

With the launch of the newspaper "Um Al-Qura" (1934), the first cornerstone of organized Saudi media was established as a national necessity with a clear vision and investment in people. It has evolved into a continuous force of soft power that confidently and professionally addresses the world, thanks to the efforts of men who founded, built, and developed it. They led various media stages of development that align with the requirements of the era and the vision of the state, making Saudi media a national message rather than just a profession.

With a Saudi vision that sees media as a true investment, a continuous path of forums and conferences has been established to shape its future. The "Saudi Media Forum," under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, reaffirms our leadership's role in building individuals and honing their media skills, as well as supporting Saudi presence globally. The forum has become a platform that brings together media creators and specialists from around the world to discuss the future, its technologies, and opportunities, especially since media has become a common language and an influential tool for effective professional communication.
