بدأ البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن تنفيذ مرحلة جديدة من مشروع توسعة وإعادة تأهيل طريق العبر بمحافظة مأرب، تمتد من «غويربان إلى المختم» بطول 40 كيلومترًا، وذلك عقب الانتهاء من تنفيذ المرحلتين الأولى والثانية من المشروع بطول 90 كيلومترًا.
ويأتي تنفيذ هذا المقطع استكمالًا لمراحل المشروع الهادف إلى تعزيز التنقل الآمن على الطريق الحيوي، ورفع كفاءة البنية التحتية؛ بما يسهم في تسهيل حركة المسافرين، والحركة التجارية والاقتصادية.
ويُعد طريق العبر من الطرق الإستراتيجية، وخط ربط دولي بين المملكة واليمن، كما يربط الطريق بين المدن والمحافظات اليمنية، محققًا استفادة لأكثر من 11 مليون مستفيد.
ويبرز في مشاريع ومبادرات البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن بقطاع النقل إعادة تأهيل نحو 200 كم من الطرق في مختلف المحافظات، وإعادة تأهيل المطارات ومن ضمنها تطوير ورفع كفاءة مطار عدن الدولي ومطار الغيضة الدولي، تحسينًا لتجربة المسافرين وجودة الخدمات المقدمة، ورفعًا لجاهزية البنية التحتية للنقل، وربطًا لليمن بالإقليم والعالم، إلى جانب إعادة تأهيل المنافذ البرية كمنفذ الوديعة، تعزيزًا للحركة الاقتصادية والتجارية، ورفعًا لكفاءته التشغيلية، وتحسين الخدمات المقدمة فيه.
يشار إلى أن البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن قدم 268 مشروعًا ومبادرة دعمًا لثمانية قطاعات أساسية وحيوية هي: التعليم، والصحة، والنقل، والطاقة، والمياه، والزراعة والثروة السمكية، والبرامج التنموية، ودعم وتنمية قدرات الحكومة، وذلك في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية.
The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen has begun implementing a new phase of the expansion and rehabilitation project for the Al-Abar road in Marib Governorate, extending from "Ghuwayrban to Al-Mukhtam" over a length of 40 kilometers, following the completion of the first and second phases of the project, which spanned 90 kilometers.
This segment's implementation is a continuation of the project's phases aimed at enhancing safe mobility on this vital road and improving the infrastructure's efficiency; thereby facilitating the movement of travelers and boosting commercial and economic activities.
The Al-Abar road is considered one of the strategic routes and an international link between the Kingdom and Yemen, as it connects cities and governorates within Yemen, benefiting more than 11 million people.
Among the projects and initiatives of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in the transportation sector is the rehabilitation of approximately 200 kilometers of roads in various governorates, as well as the rehabilitation of airports, including the development and enhancement of the efficiency of Aden International Airport and Al-Ghaydah International Airport, improving the travel experience and the quality of services provided, increasing the readiness of transportation infrastructure, and connecting Yemen with the region and the world, in addition to rehabilitating land crossings such as Al-Wadiah crossing, enhancing economic and commercial movement, increasing its operational efficiency, and improving the services offered there.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen has presented 268 projects and initiatives in support of eight essential and vital sectors: education, health, transportation, energy, water, agriculture and fisheries, developmental programs, and support and capacity building for the government, across various Yemeni governorates.
