أعلنت السلطات العراقية اليوم (الثلاثاء) القبض على والي الأنبار في تنظيم داعش الإرهابي أبو أيمن الراوي قبيل تنفيذه عملية إرهابية.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي باسم جهاز الأمن الوطني، أرشد الحاكم، أن الراوي ألقي القبض عليه وهو مرتدٍ حزاماً ناسفاً قبيل تنفيذ مخططاته، مؤكداً إنهاء تهديد ما يُسمّى بأمنيي الأنبار، بعد محاصرتهم وقبل إقدامهم على تفجير أنفسهم.
وأشار إلى أن عملية استخبارية دقيقة لتعقب خلية إرهابية معقدة في الأنبار كانت تسعى لتنظيم صفوفها والتخطيط لتنفيذ عمليات إرهابية تواصلت لتفكيك الشبكة الإرهابية، لافتاً إلى أنه تم تنفيذ العملية بإسناد شرطة الأنبار.
وقال الحاكم إن العملية أدت إلى اعتقال 5 إرهابيين آخرين، بينهم الإرهابي أبو الجيس، ومسؤول النقل والدعم اللوجستي بالتنظيم غايب عواد، و المسؤول عن تصنيع الطائرات المسيرة المفخخة وإدارة الملف الكيمياوي داخل الكيان الإرهابي قصي شعلان، موضحاً أن اعترافات الموقوفين قادت إلى تنفيذ عملية تمشيط في صحراء الرطبة لعدة أيام، أسفرت عن ضبط تجهيزات عسكرية وعبوات وأحزمة ناسفة كانت معدة لدعم عمليات إرهابية وشيكة.
وكانت القوات الأمريكية قد نقلت سجناء من تنظيم داعش من شمال شرقي سورية إلى العراق في عملية رافقتها آليات عسكرية أمريكية وجرى نقل السجناء من مدينة القامشلي، بالتزامن مع تأكيد واشنطن أن مهمة تحالفها مع القوات الكردية شارفت على الانتهاء.

Al-Hakim stated that the operation led to the arrest of 5 other terrorists, including the terrorist Abu al-Jais, the logistics and transportation officer of the organization, Ghaib Awad, and the person responsible for manufacturing explosive drones and managing the chemical file within the terrorist entity, Qusay Shalaan, explaining that the confessions of the detainees led to the execution of a sweeping operation in the Rutba desert for several days, resulting in the seizure of military equipment, explosives, and explosive belts that were prepared to support imminent terrorist operations.
American forces had transferred prisoners from ISIS from northeastern Syria to Iraq in an operation accompanied by American military vehicles, and the prisoners were moved from the city of Qamishli, coinciding with Washington's confirmation that its mission with the Kurdish forces was nearing completion.
