ناشد مستفيدو الطريق الرابط بين محافظة بيشة بمنطقة عسير ومحافظة الطائف بمنطقة مكة المكرمة، الجهات ذات العلاقة العمل على ازدواجية وتهذيب مسار الطريق الرابط بين تلك المناطق مروراً بشرق وشمال منطقة الباحة الذي أصبح مطلباً مهماً للتجارة والسياحة والتواصل الاجتماعي وقبل ذلك لخدمته الكبيرة للحجاج والمعتمرين القادمين من مناطق جنوب المملكة واليمن إلى المشاعر المقدسة.

وقال فلاح ناجي الغامدي لـ«عكاظ»: «يحتاج الطريق من مركز الجعبة غرب محافظة بيشة حتى مركز جرب بمنطقة الباحة إلى تعديل وازدواج، فأغلب الطريق ترابي وننتظر تعديل وازدواجية الطريق، مع ضرورة سفلتة الوصلات الترابية وصيانتها حتى ننعم بالسير والتنقل إلى تلك المحافظات والمناطق بكل يسر وسهولة».

من جانبه، قال عمير الشهراني: إن الطريق من محافظة بيشة حتى التقائه بالطريق السريع الباحة - الطائف يمثل شرياناً مهماً وطريقاً محورياً يربط جنوب المملكة بغربها، فالمسافة بين مكة وبيشة عن طريق البعيثة ٣٨٥ كم فقط، ولو تمت سفلتة الطريق من جرب الحايط سيتم اختصار الطريق مسافات، فالمسافر من بيشة يضطر لاستخدام طريق متعرج من الجعبة ثم جرب ويدخل من قرية في أخرى وملفات ويتعرض المسافر للتعب والمشقة، وبقاؤه مفرداً متعرجاً لا يحقق السلامة المرورية. وطالب الشهراني، وزارة النقل بالالتفاتة لهذا الطريق المحوري وذلك من خلال معالجة ضيق الطريق وانحناءاته الخطيرة التي تشكل تهديدا لسالكيه بالحوادث وأحياناً التوهان لوجود تفريعات.

محمد الدوسري من وادي الدواسر أكد أن سكان وادي الدواسر والسليّل والأفلاج عندما يرغبون السفر برا إلى المنطقة الغربية يتجهون إلى بيشة ومنها يستخدمون الطريق المفرد مرورا بالباحة ثم الطائف، فهو الأقصر مسافة، لكن ضيق الطريق وانحناءاته الكثيرة تهدد سلامتهم وسلامة سالكيه، مؤكدا أن الحركة المرورية كبيرة جدا من المركبات الصغيرة والشاحنات التجارية الكبيرة. وتمنى الدوسري أن تعتمد وزارة النقل مشروعا عاجلا لتهذيب تعرجات الطريق وازدواجيته حفاظا على السلامة ودعما للجوانب التجارية والسياحية والاجتماعية

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن المسافة في هذا الطريق من مدينة بيشة إلى منطقة مكة المكرمة لا تتجاوز ٣٨٥ كم تقريبا منها ٧٠ كم في منطقة عسير، والباقي من المسافة تقع في منطقتي الباحة ومكة المكرمة.

Beneficiaries of the road linking the city of Bisha in the Asir region and the city of Taif in the Makkah region have called on the relevant authorities to work on the dualization and improvement of the road connecting these areas, passing through the east and north of the Al-Baha region, which has become an important demand for trade, tourism, and social communication, and before that, for its significant service to the pilgrims and Umrah performers coming from the southern regions of the Kingdom and Yemen to the holy sites.

Falah Naji Al-Ghamdi told "Okaz": "The road from the Al-Ja'bah center west of Bisha to the Jarb center in the Al-Baha region needs modification and dualization, as most of the road is unpaved. we are waiting for the modification and dualization of the road, along with the necessity of paving the dirt connections and maintaining them so that we can enjoy smooth travel and movement to those provinces and areas with ease and comfort."

For his part, Umair Al-Shahrani stated that the road from Bisha to its intersection with the Al-Baha - Taif highway represents an important artery and a pivotal road connecting the south of the Kingdom to its west. The distance between Makkah and Bisha via Al-Baithah is only 385 km, and if the road from Jarb Al-Hayt is paved, the distance will be shortened. The traveler from Bisha is forced to use a winding road from Al-Ja'bah to Jarb, entering from one village to another, which causes fatigue and hardship for the traveler. Its remaining single and winding nature does not ensure traffic safety. Al-Shahrani called on the Ministry of Transport to pay attention to this pivotal road by addressing its narrowness and dangerous curves, which pose a threat to its users due to accidents and sometimes getting lost due to the presence of branches.

Mohammed Al-Dosari from Wadi Al-Dawasir confirmed that the residents of Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Sulayyil, and Al-Aflaj, when they wish to travel by land to the western region, head to Bisha and from there use the single road passing through Al-Baha and then Taif, as it is the shortest distance. However, the narrowness of the road and its many curves threaten their safety and the safety of its users, emphasizing that the traffic is very heavy with small vehicles and large commercial trucks. Al-Dosari hoped that the Ministry of Transport would adopt an urgent project to improve the road's curves and dualize it to ensure safety and support commercial, tourism, and social aspects.

It is worth noting that the distance on this road from the city of Bisha to the Makkah region does not exceed approximately 385 km, of which 70 km is in the Asir region, while the remaining distance lies in the Al-Baha and Makkah regions.
