يشير مساعد الأحمدي لـ«عكاظ»، إلى خطورة العبّارات، خصوصاً بعد تحويل مدخل الحي إلى مسار واحد بسبب العبّارات التي ضيّقت الطريق، فيضطر كثير من السائقين إلى استخدام الطريق في الخروج، إذ لا توجد أمامهم خيارات أخرى غير الدخول من وسط الحي للخروج إلى الطريق الرئيسي، وسبق أن وقع العديد من الحوادث جرّاء ذلك. وطالب الأحمدي الجهات المعنية بالعمل على إغلاق العبّارات. أما سالم الأحمدي ومحمد الجهني وسعد محمد الأحمدي، فيؤكدون أن العبّارات تهدّد سالكي الطريق منذ سنوات طويلة، وسبق أن سقطت بعض المركبات أثناء هطول الأمطار، ويتمنون من الجهات ذات العلاقة معالجتها في أسرع وقت قبل بدء الدراسة.

The stormwater culverts pose a continuous and ongoing danger to the residents of Al-Salam neighborhood and the staff of Taibah University in Medina. More than one vehicle has previously fallen into the drains and culverts located in front of Taibah University from the northern side, and residents are demanding that they be organized or closed.

Assistant Al-Ahmadi points out to “Okaz” the danger of the culverts, especially after the entrance to the neighborhood was converted to a single lane due to the culverts that narrowed the road. Many drivers are forced to use the road to exit, as there are no other options available to them other than entering from the middle of the neighborhood to reach the main road, and many accidents have occurred as a result. Al-Ahmadi called on the relevant authorities to work on closing the culverts. Meanwhile, Salem Al-Ahmadi, Muhammad Al-Juhani, and Saad Muhammad Al-Ahmadi confirm that the culverts have threatened road users for many years, and some vehicles have previously fallen during rainfall. They hope that the relevant authorities will address this issue as soon as possible before the start of the school year.
