اشتكى سكان حي الصفا بمدينة جيزان، من ضعف المشاريع الخدمية للبنى التحتية التي تغيب عنها الصيانة والتحديث. وطالبوا الجهات المعنية بضرورة التدخل لمعالجتها وتحسين مداخل الحي الذي بات يعاني من رداءة الشوارع وبروز التشققات الأسفلتية. وأضافوا في حديثهم لـ«عكاظ»: «نعاني مع كل موسم هطول أمطار من تجمع المياه بالشوارع ومحاصرتها لمنازلنا؛ التي في بعض الأحيان تختلط مع مياه الصرف لعدم وجود شبكة صرف صحي»، مشيرين إلى حاجة الحي للترصيف والحدائق العامة لتكون متنفساً لهم، مبينين أن شكواهم من ضعف الخدمات لا تتوقف عند هذا الحد في الحي فهو يعاني من ضعف شبكة الإنترنت، ومطالبين بمعالجة الازدحام اليومي الذي تشهده الشوارع المحيطة بمبنى الجوازات.

ويقول علي هادي (أحد سكان حي الصفا): كلما هطل المطر برزت معه الحفريات والمطبات في الطرق وأحدث تجمعات في الشوارع وأمام المنازل لعدم وجود شبكة صرف صحي أو تصريف لمياه السيول.

ويضيف عبده أبكر: نأمل من البلدية أن تعالج مشاكل الحي وتدخل إليه خدمات المشاريع التحسينية من أرصفة وسفلتة وشبكة صرف وتصريف للمياه، وأن نرى الجهات الصحية الرقابية تتجول في الحي للتصدي لباعة الوجبات السريعة التي تديرها عمالة وافدة لا تراعي الجوانب الصحية.

ويقول أحمد إبراهيم: الحي بحاجة إلى حدائق عامة تكون متنفساً للأهالي والسكان ومعالجة ضعف الإنارة في بعض المداخل الحيوية التي هي بحاجة إلى تحسين. وأضاف هناك بعض المواقع تنتشر بها مولدات كهربائية خطرة تلاصق المباني السكنية تغذي المنازل ونخشى أثناء الأمطار من خطر الصعق الكهربائي. ويشير فهد حكمي إلى وجود أراضٍ بيضاء باتت موقعاً للتجمعات المائية وسكناً للحشرات والباعوض. وكذلك يشير فيصل محمد إلى وجود شاحنات اتخذت من الأراضي البيضاء مواقف لها لفترات طويلة وحولت بعضها إلى ورش ومواقع لشاحناتهم الخربة، ناهيك عن وجود الأحواش المبنية من الهناجر التي باتت كراجاً للمعدات الثقيلة وبها عدد من المعدات الخربة مضى عليها سنوات عديدة.

Residents of the Al-Safa neighborhood in Jizan city have complained about the poor infrastructure service projects that lack maintenance and updates. They urged the relevant authorities to intervene to address these issues and improve the entrances to the neighborhood, which has been suffering from poor streets and the emergence of asphalt cracks. They added in their conversation with "Okaz": "Every rainy season, we suffer from water pooling in the streets, surrounding our homes; at times, this water mixes with sewage due to the absence of a sewage network," pointing out the need for paving and public gardens to serve as a recreational space for them. They indicated that their complaints about the lack of services do not stop there, as the neighborhood also suffers from weak internet connectivity, and they are calling for a solution to the daily congestion witnessed on the streets surrounding the passport office.

Ali Hadi (one of the residents of Al-Safa) says: Whenever it rains, the potholes and bumps in the roads become more pronounced, creating pools in the streets and in front of homes due to the lack of a sewage network or drainage for floodwaters.

Abdul Abkar adds: We hope that the municipality will address the neighborhood's problems and bring in improvement projects such as sidewalks, paving, and a drainage network for water, and that we will see health regulatory authorities patrolling the neighborhood to confront the fast-food vendors run by foreign labor that do not adhere to health standards.

Ahmad Ibrahim states: The neighborhood needs public gardens to serve as a recreational area for residents and to address the poor lighting in some vital entrances that need improvement. He added that there are some locations where dangerous electrical generators are installed close to residential buildings, supplying homes, and we fear the risk of electric shock during the rains. Fahd Hakmi points out the existence of vacant lands that have become sites for water pooling and breeding grounds for insects and mosquitoes. Faisal Mohammed also notes the presence of trucks that have made these vacant lands their parking spots for extended periods, with some turning into workshops and sites for their broken trucks, not to mention the presence of yards built from hangars that have become garages for heavy equipment, containing several broken machines that have been there for many years.
