انخفضت معظم أسواق الأسهم في الخليج في تعاملات اليوم، متأثرة بتراجع أسعار النفط في آخر تداولات لها، وسط تعاملات محدودة في موسم العطلات.
وانخفض مؤشر السوق السعودية 1%. وفي قطر فقد المؤشر 0.4%، مع انخفاض سهم بنك قطر الوطني 1.1%.
واختتم المؤشر الرئيسي بالبحرين التعاملات على ارتفاع 0.2%. وأغلق المؤشر الرئيسي في عُمان على انخفاض 0.3%. واستقر المؤشر الرئيسي في الكويت في ختام التعاملات.
وخارج منطقة الخليج، ارتفع المؤشر الرئيسي للبورصة المصرية 0.9%، مستفيداً من مكاسب سهم المصرية للاتصالات 2.2%.
وفرة المعروض
وكانت أسعار النفط قد تراجعت، وهو محفز لأسواق المال في الخليج، بأكثر من 2% في نهاية آخر تعاملات لها، مع توقع المستثمرين زيادة في المعروض العالمي تلوح في الأفق، بينما يراقبون أيضاً محادثات السلام الأوكرانية التي ستُجرى اليوم بين الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي ونظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترمب.
ورغم ارتفاع النفط من أدنى مستوى في نحو 5 سنوات، الذي سجله في 16 ديسمبر الجاري؛ بسبب مخاوف بشأن الإمدادات، يتجه لتسجيل أكبر خسارة سنوية له منذ عام 2020، إذ انخفض خام برنت 19% منذ بداية العام في ظل زيادة إنتاج تثير المخاوف من وفرة وشيكة في المعروض العام القادم.
Most stock markets in the Gulf fell in today's trading, influenced by a decline in oil prices in their latest trades, amid limited trading during the holiday season.
The Saudi market index dropped by 1%. In Qatar, the index fell by 0.4%, with the Qatar National Bank share decreasing by 1.1%.
The main index in Bahrain closed the trading session up by 0.2%. The main index in Oman closed down by 0.3%. The main index in Kuwait remained stable at the end of trading.
Outside the Gulf region, the main index of the Egyptian stock exchange rose by 0.9%, benefiting from a 2.2% gain in the Egyptian Telecommunications share.
Supply Abundance
Oil prices had declined, which is a catalyst for the financial markets in the Gulf, by more than 2% at the end of their last trades, as investors anticipate an increase in global supply looming on the horizon, while also monitoring the Ukrainian peace talks that will take place today between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his American counterpart Donald Trump.
Despite the rise in oil from its lowest level in nearly 5 years, recorded on December 16, due to supply concerns, it is on track to register its largest annual loss since 2020, as Brent crude has fallen by 19% since the beginning of the year amid increased production raising fears of an imminent supply surplus next year.
