هز انفجار عنيف مسجداً مزدحماً في سوق غامبورو بمدينة مايدوغوري، عاصمة ولاية بورنو شمال شرق نيجيريا، مساء اليوم (الأربعاء)، أثناء أداء المصلين صلاة المغرب، ما أسفر عن مقتل وإصابة عدد من الأشخاص.
وبحسب تقارير عالمية بما في ذلك وكالة «رويترز» و«بي بي سي»، أفاد شهود عيان بأن الانفجار وقع داخل مسجد الجمعة في منطقة غامبورو، وسط تجمع كبير من المصلين والتجار في السوق المزدحم.
وتشير تقارير أولية إلى مقتل ما لا يقل عن سبعة أشخاص، مع إصابة آخرين بجروح متفاوتة، إلا أن السلطات لم تصدر بعد تأكيداً رسمياً لعدد الضحايا.
وانتشرت على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لقطات غير موثقة تظهر آثار الانفجار، مع غبار كثيف في الهواء وحالة من الذعر بين الناس في منطقة السوق.
ولم تعلن أي جماعة مسؤوليتها عن الهجوم حتى الآن، لكن المنطقة شهدت سابقاً هجمات مشابهة باستخدام تفجيرات انتحارية أو عبوات ناسفة بدائية الصنع، تُنسب غالباً إلى جماعة بوكو حرام الإرهابية أو فرعها «ولاية غرب أفريقيا الإسلامية» (إيسواب).
ورغم الجهود العسكرية المكثفة والتعاون الإقليمي، ما زالت الهجمات المتفرقة تستهدف المدنيين في شمال شرق نيجيريا، ويُعد هذا الانفجار الأحدث في سلسلة من الاعتداءات التي تثير مخاوف من عودة تصعيد العنف في المنطقة، خصوصاً أن المدينة كانت قد شهدت هدوءاً نسبياً في السنوات الأخيرة، مع آخر هجوم كبير مسجل عام 2021.

A violent explosion shook a crowded mosque in the Gamboru market in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State in northeastern Nigeria, this evening (Wednesday), during the Maghrib prayer, resulting in the death and injury of several individuals.
According to global reports, including from Reuters and the BBC, eyewitnesses reported that the explosion occurred inside the Friday mosque in the Gamboru area, amidst a large gathering of worshippers and traders in the busy market.
Initial reports indicate that at least seven people were killed, with others sustaining varying degrees of injuries; however, authorities have yet to issue an official confirmation of the casualty count.
Unverified footage has circulated on social media showing the aftermath of the explosion, with thick dust in the air and a state of panic among people in the market area.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but the region has previously witnessed similar attacks using suicide bombings or improvised explosive devices, often attributed to the Boko Haram terrorist group or its affiliate, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Despite intensive military efforts and regional cooperation, sporadic attacks continue to target civilians in northeastern Nigeria, and this explosion is the latest in a series of assaults that raise concerns about a resurgence of violence in the area, especially since the city had experienced relative calm in recent years, with the last recorded major attack in 2021.
Security forces are continuing to investigate the incident, amid calls to enhance security measures to protect public and religious places.
